Learn how to run, configure, and integrate Grout.
Grout manages booking and cleaning operations in one application. Start with local setup, then use the task-specific guides for configuration and integrations.

REST API
Use scoped keys to connect bookings, customers, leads, and payments.
API playground
Send requests against the OpenAPI document.
Embeds and React SDK
Add booking to another website or build a custom React flow.
Configuration
Configure the environment, scheduled maintenance, and optional integrations.
Troubleshooting
Diagnose database, integration, documentation, and browser-test failures.
Understand the product boundary
Grout accepts bookings, schedules providers, communicates with customers, records customer payments, and manages sales activity. Each cleaning company handles provider compensation, payroll, worker classification, and tax filing outside Grout.
Understand the operating model
- Server-authoritative pricing: the server recomputes every quote and charge
- Staffable availability: offered times account for provider hours, time off, existing assignments, service areas, and travel buffers
- Optional integrations: supported providers activate through environment variables, with documented local fallbacks where available
